Laura is the founder of Wink i Wear Optical Boutique. In 2013 Laura opened a funky little optical shop called Wink i Wear in Kelowna's Pandosy Village. In 2019, she partnered with Dr. Tim Degelman and Wink i Wear Optometry was born.
Laura is a a licensed Optician and former Chiropractor. She calls Kelowna home and lives with her husband Stephen and their Biewer Yorkie Leela. She enjoys smooth coffee, collects and enjoys good wine and considers chocolate a food group.
Dr. Tim Degelman is an Optometrist that obtained a B.Sc in Anatomy at the University of Saskatchewan and later a Doctorate of Optometry with honours from the University of Waterloo in 1992. He practiced as an optometrist for over 26 years in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and sits on multiple health care consolidation boards. In 2018 he moved to the beautiful Okanagan with his wife Paula (a Chiropractor), his 2 boys Brock and Dane, and their fur baby Fudge. Dr. Degelman enjoys many sports, coaching soccer, traveling, chocolate and dancing by himself. He very much looks forward to meeting new patients and friends in Kelowna.
Sarah is our Optical Assistant from down under, working in Optics since 2013. She has traveled all over, has fallen in love with the Okanagan and is working to make Canada her permanent home. Sarah loves to spend her time outdoors experiencing all that BC has to offer with her Boyfriend and friends - no matter the weather! Her favourite place to spend the summer is out on Kalamalka Lake. A real social butterfly with an infectious laugh
Wink-i-Wear is a local Kelowna company, located in the Pandosy Village and motivated by the diversity humanity. Wink-i-Wear was founded in 2013 by Laura Draycott, a former Chiropractor and licensed Optician, who believes eyewear is our greatest fashion accessory.
In 2019, Laura partnered with Optometrist Dr. Timothy Degelman, an very experienced eye doctor, and together they formed Wink i Wear Optometry. In May 2019 the new “glam-warehouse” style Optometric boutique was opened, offering our customers a larger space and full service eye care and eye exams.
We strive introduce our customers to eye wear they are not going to find anywhere else, and frames they have never seen before. The store showcases an inviting, comfortable, non-clinical atmosphere with the most modern optometric equipment available. Dr. Degelman offers experienced, comprehensive eye exams and eye care.

Wink i Wear also has an expansive outdoor patio that be available for community causes, fundraisers and special events. In 2018 Wink i Wear teamed up with other local businesses for the annual Swinging with the Stars Gala and raised over $272,000 for Central Okanagan Hospice Association. Laura and her husband Stephen (from Aura Wealth Management) were coached by local dancer Tina Joslin from Oranj Fitness and danced a disco medley in front of over 300 people. With the help of the beautiful Femme Fatale back-up dancers, they won the Audience Choice award at the end of the evening.
